Massproductions launches “BAM!”, a sofa reduced to its basic geometry with two block shaped volumes creating a seat and back. The design has clear influences from Pop Art culture, and as the name suggests, the sofa leaves the spectator with a sudden and distinct first impression.
In early 2000s, the art historian Marita Jonsson and her husband, architect Jon Jonsson, decided to take over a display garden with an inn, named Körsbärsgården, located in Sundre on the Swedish island of Gotland. The plan was to open a contemporary art museum in connection to the garden.
Located among lime-plastered barns, this 300-square meter large country house is made of solid concrete and burned wood. The spectacular view over old farmlands and its unique architecture become a combination strong enough to change one’s lifestyle and embody this refuge from big city life.
Our new easy chair, Jump, is launched and it is currently presented in the exhibition “In Eddie’s Room”, which takes place from October 2 – November 9 in Kasthall’s flagship store in central Stockholm.
Massproductions’ design manager Chris Martin wanted to realize an idea for a visible steel frame, which, like a skeleton, creates the structure and carries the other parts of the body. This led to the design and production of our new launch – the Jump Easy Chair.
Acne Studios’ FW20 collection features artwork by British artist Lydia Blakeley and is called “Checks & Dogs”. The campaign photos involve employees from the Stockholm headquarters and their dogs, but it also features a Massproductions chair – the Crown Easy Chair, dressed in prints from the Checks & Dogs collection.

Massproductions’ Icha series has been celebrated for its Japanese design language since it was first launched with corresponding tables and bar stools in the spring of 2014. Now the Icha chair is re-launched with a new reinforced construction and with a Möbelfakta quality label.

Massproductions new launch during Stockholm Design Week 2020 is the lightweight and stackable outdoor bench Roadie. The inspiration for the design come from welded steel crowd control barriers and aluminium lighting riggings, which are assembled by ”roadies” at concert events.
Massproductions sculptural armchair “Rose” in layer-glued wood is now launched in a new Oak finish. The chair is manufactured in Småland (Sweden) from Swedish FSC-certified wood source and is now available in four finishes – Oak, Black-stained Oak, Walnut and Maple.

Three consecutive years at NYC x Design for Massproductions. At ICFF, we will be stationed right by the entrance in the Booth #1903, where you will be able to meet our classics along with some new pieces. For instance, to commemorate our 10th Anniversary, we will be presenting the classic Tio Collection in a new unique finish.
This year marks the Stockholm-based design company Massproductions’ 10th year of operations. Since opening in 2009, the company has achieved great international acclaim in the form of prestigious commissions and design accolades. In conjunction with its 10th anniversary the company is launching a new edition of the Tio Chair – a contemporary design classic that started Massproductions’ journey.
